Producers can talk about the 50% theatre capacity rule, not me: Daisy Shah

Actress, model, and dancer Daisy Shah, who previously worked under Ganesh Acharya made her Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan in ‘Jai Ho‘ back in 2014. The actress is back in action with the start of her shoot in London and flew back to Mumbai a couple of days ago and has resumed her shoot here too. She went to talk about how she was relieved that things are coming back to normal, ‘Things look better and busy now‘.

She was asked whether or not she was scared to travel in present condition, she answered with the following, ‘Not really. I feel if anything is supposed to happen, ghar pe baith ke bhi ho sakta hai. If it is meant to happen, it will happen to you anywhere in the world. That does not mean you have to restrict yourself from living your life. But the dancer went on to add how people still need to abide by the rules, ‘You have to get cautious about things. I am not somebody who believes in confining themselves to their homes, unless such rules are being made, which was the case when we were in the lockdowns‘.

The industry is still on the down-low when it comes to movies releasing in theatres due to the 50% rule, to which Shah added, ‘I am actually not the right person (to talk about this). The thing is, for us as actors, our job is to come on the set, work, and then once the product is ready, that’s when the producers and distributors’ role comes in. So now, since rules are being formed by the government, and there is 50 per cent capacity, I am pretty sure it is going to hit the box office very badly. But again, it is a situation which the producers can talk about, not me‘.
