Railway Ministry says travelling passengers will follow health protocols on arrival at their destinations

Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has issued Standard Operating Protocol (SOP) to see the movement if people via trains.

No onboard counters would be open, only those who have their e-tickets will be allowed to enter the station. There would be a compulsory medical screening of all passengers. Only those who show no abnormal symptoms will be allowed to board the train.
On platforms and during a train journey, Strict adherence to Health/hygiene protocols and social distancing.

For all the passengers, there will be the provision of hand sanitizer at the entry and exit gate of the railway station and the coaches. No entry without face masks, and it’s also necessary to keep them on all the time.

Movement of trains shall be permitted by the Ministry of Railways (MOR), in a graded manner, in consultation with the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW) and MHA. They have to adhere to the social distancing at all times. Health advisories/ guidelines will be circulated by MoR through Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign for their staff and passengers. During departure from the train on the arrival of the destination, all have to follow the protocols as stated by destination State/ UT.
