The famous uncle-nephew pair of Bollywood, Govinda and Krushna Abhishek is falling apart. Things are not ok between Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja and Krushna Abhishek and his wife Kashmera Shah. The main reason for this feud dates back to 2016 when Govinda made it back to the big screen with ‘Jagga Jasoos’. For the promotion of the movie, Govinda went to ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ with his wife and daughter. This did not go down very well with his nephew, Krushna Abhishek, who had recently taken over as the host of Comedy Nights Live on Colors channel. While Govinda had a gala time with Kapil Sharma and his team on TKSS – cracking silly jokes, singing qawwalis and whatnot, nephew Krushna Abhishek fumed over his mama’s appearance on the show. He later said that Govinda should have supported him.
Another incident that added a crack in their relationship was when Krushna said, “I cracked a joke saying ‘Maine Govinda ko apna mama rakha hai’ (I have kept Govinda as my uncle) on my show, which did not go down well with him. I tried to reason with him saying that it wasn’t in bad taste. In fact, it only raises my status by calling him, my mama.”
In 2018, Krushna’s wife tweeted ‘People who dance for money’. Sunita said that she indirectly tagged Govinda and the two decided to cut off ties wholly.
