Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Panchal call for “JERSEY” wrap, shares emotional notes…

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has officially wrapped up shooting for his new film “Jersey”, which is the remake of the Telugu film of the same name.

After “Kabir Singh”, this is Shahid’s second Telugu remake and he seems to be quite attached to it. The actor took to Twitter to share a heartwarming post about the movie, calling it the story of a “Phoenix rising from the ashes”. He also called it his “best filmmaking experience yet”.

The 39-year-old also posted a picture on his Instagram story, with the caption “This is my dream team. Each one of them has my deepest gratitude”. The picture shows Shahid, Mrunal and the team cutting a cricket bat shaped cake to celebrate finishing the shoot.

They had started filming for the movie at the beginning of the year but it was shut down due to the pandemic in March. The production resumed in October and the team finished the shoot in 47 days.

The original movie, starring Nani and Shraddha Srinath, was released in 2019 and was a huge box office hit. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the story revolves around a failed cricketer who decides to return to the game after his son expresses his desire to own a jersey.
