Sherlyn Chopra’s bail plea gets “rejected” in Raj Kundra’s case.

The anticipatory bail plea of Bollywood actor Sherlyn Chopra, who has been summoned by Mumbai police in connection with the alleged connection of pornographic films involving the successful businessman Raj Kundra, has been rejected by the Mumbai session court. She was summoned by the Mumbai police for recording her statement as a witness in the case.

However, the actor feared that she might be arrested and sought an anticipatory bail plea. Her lawyer had clarified that the actor was not trying to shy away from cooperating with the investigation. The lawyer said the actor fears arrest as the co-accused in the case has been arrested and certain sections in the FIR against the accused are non-bailable but the government pleader argued the police only want to record the statement of Sherlyn Chopra. A Mumbai court had on Wednesday rejected the bail plea of Raj Kundra.

On Tuesday, the Bombay high court had also refused to give him any urgent temporary relief. Sherlyn, in her complaint, reportedly claimed that in early 2019, Raj Kundra called her business manager about a proposal for her and that he wanted to discuss the proposal. After the business meeting on March 27, 2019, Sherlyn claimed that Raj showed up unannounced at her house due to a heated argument over a text. The actress alleged that once at her home, Raj began kissing her even as she resisted. She claimed she did not want to get involved with a married man or mix business with pleasure.
