Famous for playing the role of MC Sher in Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’, the actor Siddhant Chaturvedi recently tested positive for Covid- 19. He uploaded a picture of himself, lying on his bed, quarantined.
The caption on the post read, “Abhi Vaccine aane ki khushi hui hi thi ki… Corona bola Thappa! ✋ #RecoveryMode”
The photograph has already received more than 133K likes and 500 comments wishing him better health.
He shared the news of testing positive in a story on Instagram a few days ago. He informed his followers that he is “self-quarantining” at home and is “tackling” the situation.
Siddhant starred as Prashant Kanaujia in the Amazon Prime Video web series ‘Inside Edge’. The show was inspired by the IPL.
He made his debut in Bollywood in the blockbuster movie ‘Gully Boy’ (2019). The movie featured Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in lead roles, and Siddhant in a supporting role, as MC Sher. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for this role.
The movie itself received many awards and was also India’s official entry for the Oscars in the Best Foreign Language Film Category. The future looks just as bright for Siddhant as did the past. He will soon be seen in Yash Raj Films’ ‘Bunty aur Babli 2’, for which the shooting is already complete.
