Last night saw the announcing ceremony of the 66th Filmfare Awards. Anubhav Sinha’s ‘Thappad’ secured the most number of awards, that is, seven, followed by ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ with six awards.
Actress Taapsee Pannu won the Filmfare Award for the Best Actor in a leading role (female) and shared an Instagram post in this regard. She shared a picture of the “Lady-in-Black” sitting proudly on a table in her house.

Several celebrities including Shreya Dhanwanthary, Anurag Kashyap, Vikrant Massey, Dia Mirza, Bhumi Pednekar and others commented on the post, congratulating the actress on her victory.
Since this post, Taapsee has also shared two videos, one of herself receiving the award and the other of her Team from ‘Thappad’ posing with their own awards.
‘Thappad’ won in the categories of Best Film, Best Story- Anubhav Sinha and Mrunmayee Lagoo Waikul, Best Playback Singer (Male) – Raghav Chaitanya, Best Sound Design- Kaamod Kharade, Best Editing- Yasha Puspa Ramchandani and Best Background Score- Mangesh Urmila Dhakde, in addition to Taapsee’s award.
It was a well-deserved win and we wish Taapsee the Best of Luck for many more awards to come.
