Popular Tamil comedian Vivek died at the age of 59 on 17th April in Chennai. Vivek passed away on Saturday after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was admitted to the hospital on Friday after a cardiac arrest. While there was a report of Vivek’ health deteriorating after taking a jab of the coronavirus vaccine.
According to the doctors, the comedian Vivek was brought into the hospital at 11 am on Friday by his family, after he complained of chest pain and fainted while at his home. They added that he had suffered a severe heart attack, owing to a 100 per cent block in the left coronary artery.
Celebrities from Telugu and Tamil film industry including AR Rahman, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Mohan Raja, Gautham Karthik, Samantha Akkineni, Genelia Deshmukh and several others paid last respects to Vivek on social media.
Samantha Akkineni wrote “My heart feels heavy as I write this. Vivek sir’s passing feels like a personal loss. He was an actor, comedian, environmentalist and a great human being. My deep condolences to Vivek sir’s family. You will forever be a part of us. May your soul rest in peace. #ripviveksir”. Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted his condolences saying that “Both in his films and his life, his concern for the environment and society shone through.”
