The new domestic flight fares range from Rs2,000 to Rs18,600, Here is everything you need to know

To guarantee reasonable air ticket fares for travellers and simultaneously keep up monetary practicality for aircraft in the hours of the coronavirus pandemic extensive measures are taken from the administration side. The air tickets will be capped somewhere in the range of ₹2,000 and ₹18,600 in seven groups relying upon flight span for the following three months, from May 25 to August 24, educated the administration.

While reporting the resumption of air transport from March 25, Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said there would be fare tops and floor costs dependent on flight duration.

Under the new passage structure, air routes have grouped into seven categories dependent on time. Each such section has its minimum and maximum fare. The first would have its specific lower and upper limits of airfare will consist of flights that are of less than 40 minutes. And the remaining would be of flights with durations of 40-60 minutes, 60-90 minutes, 90-120 minutes, and 120-150 minutes, respectively
Here are the more details of the fares:

  1. Local Flights with under 40-minute length will have lower and maximum restrictions of Rs 2,000 and Rs 6,000.
  2. For trips with lengths between 40 minutes and an hour, the cut-off points would be Rs 2,500 on the lower end and Rs 7,500 on the upper.
  3. Trips with a length somewhere in the range of 60 and an hour and a half will have lower and upper passage limits at Rs 3,000 and Rs 9,000, separately.
  4. Trips with a length somewhere in the range of 90 and 120 minutes, lower and upper charge cut off points would be Rs 3,500 and Rs 10,000, separately.
  5. Trips with a length somewhere in the range of 120 and 150 minutes, like those on the Delhi-Bengaluru course, lower and upper charge cut off points would be Rs 4,500 and Rs 13,000.
  6. Trips with a length somewhere in the range of 150 and 180 minutes, like those on the Delhi-Guwahati course, lower and upper charge cut off points would Rs 5,500 and Rs 15,700, separately.
  7. Trips with lengths somewhere in the range of 180 and 210 minutes, like those on the Delhi-Chennai course, the lower charge cut off would Rs 6,500 and upper Rs 18,600.
    The aviation industry was on halt since March 25 when the nation-wide lockdown was declared to reduce the spread of the pandemic.
