Ghanshyam Nayak of Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah also known for playing Nattu Kaka in this popular sitcom died on Sunday. He was battling cancer. The news of Ghanshyam’s death was shared by producer Asit Kumar Modi of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah show, who tweeted, “Hamare pyaare #Nattukaka hamare saath nahi rahe (Our beloved Nattu Kaka is no more).”
Asit Kumar also wished for Ghanshyam’s family to have the strength to deal with the loss and said that Nattu Kaka will never be forgotten. Ghanshyam had already informed others about his cancer diagnosis earlier this year, months after undergoing surgery last year after eight knots were found in his neck. He received further treatment after new knots were found in further a test.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah director Malav Rajda paid an emotional tribute to Ghanshyam. “Ghanshyam bhai know you since I was a child when you used to do plays with my dad…loved you then and loved you now…and you will always be loved by everyone who knew you…still have to come across such a jovial, lovable and a selfless man like you…thank you for always showering your love and blessings on me…you will be really missed a lot…love you natu kaka,” he wrote.
