Bengaluru: A local city church comes up with drive-in services. All sorts of two and four-wheelers are allowed to enter the premises of the Church so that people of the congregation can enjoy the comfort of their cars and social distancing is kept in check! The times are getting harder as the bar of the curve is rising continuously. People are coming up with innovative ideas to avoid the community spread of the virus and still enjoy the company of praying together.
The authority says that from last one month they have been live telecasting the prayers on their websites so that the people could virtually join them. The people in charge are also installing more speakers and screens so that it gets easy for the worshippers to pray.
Together and still afar. This is a very unique idea, praying and an outing at once that too totally being safe.
“Our Worship on Wheels service will bring us together and at the same time, ensure that we honour the safety instructions given by the government. We have procured all the necessary permissions required to arrange the service and are ensuring that it will be 100 per cent contactless,” said Johnson.
Johnson also informed that over 1 lakh of people joined in the prayer through their websites and all the other social media handles.
The authorities are Planning six services on Sunday. Two of each will be conducted for that driving-in on motorcycles and cars and two for more inside the church building for the devotees taking public transport or walking in.
Services for people arriving on bikes have been scheduled at 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., cars at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. and walk-ins at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
We respect the people and their ideas as it is absolutely creative to maintain the social distancing and still feeling the satisfaction of being in the holy premises of the church.
