Two floors of BSF headquarters in Delhi sealed as staff member tested positive for Coronavirus

Two floors of the eight-storeyed Border private security force and CRPF headquarters within the CGOs complex on Lodhi Road, Delhi are sealed after a 3 staff member was tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a BSF spokesperson, “A head constable of the BSF working within the force headquarters has been found COVID-19 positive late night on May 3. He last attended office on May Day. He was working in an office on the 2nd floor. Offices on the first and second floors of the headquarters are closed as a precaution. All those that came in his contact are identified and quarantined. they’re going to even be tested for coronavirus. All attending staff vacated offices and therefore the entire office complex was thoroughly sanitised with prescribed disinfectants.

On Saturday and Sunday, no staff aside from the safety personnel and therefore the room members in limited numbers worked within the headquarters. The disinfection of complete Block 10 of the CGO complex (where BSF force headquarters is located) is going to be done again within the afternoon today in light of the newest COVID-19 positive case. Identification of secondary and tertiary contacts as per the protocol is being administered and every one protocol are being followed.”

Before the case was detected, the headquarters was closed early as a special precautionary measure because the head constable had displayed some symptoms and was immediately sent for a checkup.
