US PRESIDENT TRUMP SAYS THAT HIS STATEMENT REGARDING INSERTION OF DISINFECTANT IN COVID-19 PATIENTS WAS ‘SARCASTIC’

President Trump in the white house briefing on Thursday suggested that disinfectants should be injected into Covid-19 patients to treat them. He suggested that disinfectants such as bleach should be injected into the human body, his idea was offered as a cure for the global pandemic. The president’s suggestion raised alarm and expression of worry from health experts. In his response to this president Trump said “I was asking a question on sarcastically to reporters like you just to see what will happen” adding that “I see the disinfectant that knocks it out in a minute, and is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside”.

Reckitt Benckiser, the maker of Lysol as well as health officials and experts have advised the citizens not to try to inject disinfectant. In an attempt to wiggle free from backlash, president Trump said he was just been sarcastic, he also said that he was suggesting disinfectants that can be rubbed on people hands. Currently in the US according to Johns Hopkins university there are about 51,000 Deaths and over 890,524 reported cases.

Companies that make disinfectant have also warned against ingesting of its products. The white house confirmed that the president advised the citizens to always consult a doctor about corona virus. Despite the death toll due to corona virus in the United States president Trump intends to open up the economy due to the crisis. About one-third of all covid-19 cases are in the United States. The president also suggested the use of ultraviolet light to treat corona virus.
