The social media is all flooded with unrealistic and false news about the COVID-19 pandemic. Recently another forged information have gained popularity on these networking platforms. It is being claimed that Ramcharit Manas by Tulsidas had prognosticated the outbreak of coronavirus long ago.
A verse from the boom has gone wildly viral. Doha number 120 of Ramayana claims that when disapprobation will shroud the earth, bats will descend and human beings will be engulfed with diseases caused by them. It has been inscribed in Doha number 121 that makes will die in this pestilence. The panacea for this ailment will be- Prabhubhajan, altruism and samadhi i.e. the lockdown.
Pawan Tripathi, a man who can read minds of others comprehends this verses as an interface between Kag Bhusundi and Rog Ji. Thus everyone cannot be reprimanded for the current situation. He says that Tulsidas from these stanzas wants to convey that when a person who criticises everything dies, he takes the form of a bat in his next birth.
