Which B-TOWN ACTRESSES were a part of the “#Metoo movement”?

In India, the #MeToo campaign gained traction in 2018. Women from many walks of life stepped out and revealed their experiences of being abused by powerful men after being inspired by a global movement against sexual harassment and assault. And all started in October when Tanushree Dutta, an actress, accused Nana Patekar, an actor, of sexual harassment while they were filming the 2008 movie “Horn Ok Please.”

Known for his well-liked on-screen roles, Alok Nath became embroiled in the #MeToo debate after writer-director Vinta Nanda accused him of rape. He allegedly made passes towards the actress Sandhya Mridul when they were on set.

Nanda said that the actor had sexually assaulted her 19 years prior. Nath, on the other hand, denied the accusations and sued Nanda for defamation.

Director Vikas Bahl was accused of sexual harassment by a former employee on October 6, only hours after Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Madhu Matena, and Vikas Bahl announced the intention to disband their production company Phantom Films.

The victim, who had contributed to the 2015 production of “Bombay Velvet,” spoke of her encounter with Bahl.

Hence Me Too bought many cases which were buried before to the front.
