After Ghaziabad, Noida- Delhi border gets sealed

After Ghaziabad cordoned off its state border with Delhi, Noida too sealed it’s borderline with the national capital in Tuesday to rein in the spread of dreadful COVID-19 pandemic. Though exceptions have been made for vehicles carrying essential commodities, ambulance services, healthcare workers, journalists, Govt. officials, but each one of them should have their own ID cards along with the pass authorised by the Noida District Information Officer (DIO).

People failing to comply with the already issued orders will have to face disciplinary action under sections 51 and 60 of National Disaster Management Act and Section 188 of Indian Penal Code (IPC), confirmed the Gautam Buddha Nagar District Magistrate, Suhas LY.

Medical reports claim that the positive cases from G.B. Nagar are all somehow associated with Delhi. Thus the connections between the two cities have been prohibited until further notice for the welfare of the public and to prevent the transmission of the newly discovered pathogen, coronavirus.

102 COVID positive cases have till now been found from G.B. Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh and a majority of them is linked to a particular company. The district authorities later shut down the office after an FIR was registered against them.
