Pandemic has been playing spoilsport in the life of everyone. Ranbir Kapoor had planned a small birthday bash for his girlfriend Alia Bhatt, who is going to turn 28 on 15th March. However, the plan has to be scrapped after Ranbir Kapoor tested positive for coronavirus yesterday.
Neetu Kapoor, the actor’s mother, confirmed the same by an Instagram post where she expressed gratitude to all the fans for their good wishes and wrote that her son is recovering well under self-isolation.
Alia also got herself tested following the news, and as a relief to her fans, her test came out negative. Still, as a precaution, she is self-isolating. Her birthday celebration seems to have to wait for a while.
Ranbir seems to have caught the coronavirus while filming for his much-anticipated movie Brahmastra where he will be seen alongside Alia Bhatt for the first time on the silver screen.
The movie has been in the news long since 2018 when it was announced. However, it had to face multiple delays, and the pandemic only made it worse. The shooting has been halted indefinitely and is going to resume only after Ranbir gets fit.
According to a report, the release of Brahmastra was planned to be announced on the occasion of Alia’s birthday. However, fans now may have to wait a bit longer considering the unprecedented situation.
