An indoor sports stadium in Baramulla district, Jammu&Kashmir converted into a wellness centre for Covid19 patients

North Kashmir’s Baramulla district happens to be on the third number for coronavirus patients in Jammu and Kashmir. To gain more facilities for the harmed, the district administration has converted Baramulla Indoor Stadium into a 100-bedded Quarantine/Wellness centre.

Deputy Commissioner, Dr G N Itoo asked the health centre to set up 100 beds for the treatment of COVID patients. All the COVID-19 patients have been shifted from GMC Baramulla to the stadium.

Till now, Baramulla has 44 positive cases with 30 active positive, 14 have recovered. The total number of COVID-19 cases is now 407 in Jammu and Kashmir. 5 died, while 81 recovered. More than 62,000 people have been kept under surveillance. 38,493 persons have completed their surveillance period. The district has been declared as red zone. After a check there, it has been declared in a complete lockdown.

The stadium has been converted into a fully equipped wellness center to treat COVID19 patients. All the COVID-19 patients have been shifted from GMC Baramulla to this newly established Center.
