Chinese companies guarantee the test kits are fine, accuses Indian healthcare workers

The two Chinese companies, Wondfo Biotech and Livzon Diagnostics who were providing rapid testing kits to India have said there are no issues with their items. Though the announced failing perhaps by virtue of health care workers not adhering to endorsed directions on the manual. The test kits had been validated and affirmed by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and National Institute of Virology (NIV)Pune. Additionally, the two companies have vowed to participate with ICMR to explore the issue.

Wondfo Biotech guaranteed the company got its permit from India on March 20 after its product got approved and affirmed by ICMR through NIV Pune. Likewise, they send out their kits to more than 70 nations. Livzon Diagnostics expressed that it was endorsed by China NMPA on March 14. Company referenced that their kits has been utilized in many medical clinics in China and got a decent input. This kit was approved by India and had been provided to more than ten nations.

India has imported in excess of five lakhs testing kits from china last week. The kits were appropriated to a few states revealing rising instances of coronavirus infection. Rajasthan was the principal state to report the discrepancy in the testing results. Later ICMR requested that each state to stop using the kits recently.

The head of Epidemiology and Communicable diseases, Raman R Gangakhedkar on Tuesday stated, “we got a complaint from one state that there is reduced deduction in the results. We asked other three states to check on the results and we got to know that there is a variation from 6% to 71% in the positive RT PCR samples.”
We will experience an unmistakable examination on the testing kits and if the units found any issues, we will request a substitution, added Gangakhedkar.
