Delhi Government relaxes lockdown in some sectors, Check what all be opened

The nationwide lockdown that started on March 25 which was first scheduled to end on April 14, was extended till May 3. MHA said that states can review the situation and relax the lockdown in non-containment zones. Hence, after proper analysis, Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) In an order dated April 27, has allowed inter-state travel of health workers, lab technicians and scientists till May 3. The city has seen over 3,100 coronavirus cases along with 54 deaths so far. Currently, there are 99 containment zones in the city.

Here’s the list of services being opened up:

  1. Healthcare: Veterinary hospitals, dispensaries, clinics, pathological laboratories, sale and provide of vaccine and medicine.
  2. Movement: Inter and intrastate travel of all healthcare workers and scientists, including by air if necessary.
  3. Shelter homes: Operation of homes for youngsters, disabled, mentally challenged, senior citizens, destitute, women and widows.
  4. Services provided by electricians, plumbers or those repairing water purifiers.
  5. Shops selling electric fans.
  6. Shops of school books.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said, “The Centre has decided to open a couple of neighbourhood shops, we’ll follow the MHA order in Delhi also. Essential services will remain open, but markets, complexes, and shopping malls will be shut… We have worked hard to ensure stability and strength in our battle against Corona, we should not let anything push us back.”
