Meher Ramesh will soon release the action movie Bhola Shankar in Telugu. Chiranjeevi, Tamannaah, and Keerthy Suresh appear in this authorised adaptation of the 2015 Tamil film Vedhalam, which also stars Chiranjeevi as the title character.
On August 11, 2023, Bhola Shankar will be released in theatres. The main character of the film is an ex-mercenary who defends his sister from a strong criminal organisation.
Bhola Shankar, a former gangster turned cab driver, gets the wrath of a criminal syndicate after aiding the police in shutting down a smuggling operation. As a result, he learns who the gangsters behind the smuggling are and decides to go after them because they previously hurt his adoptive sister.
Mahati Swara Sagar is the composer of the soundtrack. Ramajogayya Sastry, Sri Mani, and Kasarala Shyam are responsible for the lyrics. Sai Pallavi initially turned down the opportunity to play Chiranjeevi’s sister in the movie owing to artistic issues. In her stead, Keerthy Suresh was cast. Mahati Swara Sagar, the son of the film’s composer Mani Sharma, was hired to write the music. In their second collaboration after Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy (2019), Tamannaah is paired with Chiranjeevi.
