The final season of the award-winning sitcom “Schitt’s Creek” has arrived at Netflix a few days earlier than planned. While some of us may have discovered Schitt’s Creek on Netflix, it’s not actually a Netflix Original series.

The show is a CBC series that also airs on the US channel Pop TV. Schitt’s Creek is a story of four members of the Rose family–Johnny (Eugene Levy), Moira (Catherine O’Hara), David (Dan Levy), and Alexis (Annie Murphy) as they had to leave their life of luxury and comfort behind and relocated to a small podunk town. The move wasn’t a choice seeing as the Rose family lost their fortune, much to their initial dismay. After coming to terms with their new surroundings, they built new lives by finding ways to thrive in the town they learned to call home.

“Surprise! Season 6 & the Best Wishes, Warmest Regards documentary just dropped early on @netflix @Netflix_CA!” Dan Levy tweeted on October 3. “Have a great weekend! Seasons 3, 4 and 5 have all arrived on Netflix in October with season 5 most recently arriving on October 10th, 2019. Schitt’s Creek season 6 was a winner, and the 2020 Emmy Awards agreed. The show set a record for the most wins in a single season for a comedy, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and it was the first comedy to sweep all four main comedy acting categories.

Netflix subscribers can currently stream seasons 1-5 of Schitt’s Creek online with their Netflix membership Season 6 is not yet available on Netflix, but if you want to catch the final season (including the emotional series finale), you can stream the series on Amazon.
