Maati Pehchaan is an upcoming Hindi movie written and directed by Ajay Berry. Maati Pehchaan is a film set in a time when migration has become a serious issue for the people residing in the mountains of Uttarakhand.
This movie deals with the complex issues of identity, class, community, language and love in a small village in Uttarakhand. This film is an ode to the people of Uttarakhand and it is a story of two star-crossed lovers living in the backdrop of the mountains.
The producers are Amit Pradhan, Faraz Shere and Pragya Tiwari under Fortune Talkies Motion Pictures. The lead roles in the movie are played by Karan Goswami and Annkita Parihar while Ajay Berry, Chandra Bisht, Naresh Bisht, Prakash Joshi, Vanya Joshi, Aakash Negi and Padmendra Singh Rawat play supporting roles. The music in this movie is composed by Rajan Bajeli while the cinematography is done by Farooq Khan. Mukesh Jha edits the movie. Maati Pehchaan is scheduled to be released on 23rd September and distributed by United Artists Releasing and Amazon Studios via streaming on Prime Video.
