Mrs Harris Goes to Paris is a historical comedy-drama film whose screenplay is written by Carroll Cartwright, Keith Thompson, Anthony Fabian and Olivia Hetreed and directed by Anthony Fabian. The movie is based on the 1958 novel MrMrsarris Goes to Paris by Paul Gallico.
The film revolves around Mrs Harris, a widowed cleaning lady who is obsessed with the theaute couture Dior dress of one of her clients. After she suddenly receives a war widow’s pension, she goes to Paris to obtain the dress. She stumbles into a showing of Dior’s 1010th-anniversary collection and bebefriendedndré, the Dior accountant and Natasha, a Dior model.
Ada convinces Dior to make a dress for her and she returns to London with her new dress. She loans it to one of her clients, Pamela who is a struggling actress. Pamela wears it to an event where it catches fire and is ruined. Her friends at Dior read of the disaster in the newspaper and send her another dress.
The producers are Anthony Fabian, Xavier Marchand and Guillaume Benski under eOne Features, Superbe Films, Moonriver Content and Hero Squared. The lead role in the movie is played by Lesley Manville while Isabelle Huppert, Lambert Wilson, Alba Baptista, Lucas Bravo, Ellen Thomas and Rose Williams play supporting roles. The music in this movie is composed by Rael Jones while the cinematography is done by Felix Wiedemann. The movie is edited by Barney Pilling. Mr Harris goes to Paris is scheduled to be released on 30th September and distributed by Focus Features and Universal Pictures.
