The show dealt with a 12-year-old girl named Pepper Ann who would express her emotions through fantasies. She has two friends who go to Hazelnut Middle School. The show follows her middle school journey and how she goes on from one adventure to another.
The show is known for its new perspective and the fact that women can be strong and independent. This was quite a huge step then for Disney to make a show with such a huge female presence and also making young girls learn about being self-independent rather than being dependent on men.
