Here's WHY Nia Sharma 'rejected' Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika

The actress recently sat down with a radio show host, where she talked about how she never pictured herself walking into a production house because she believes people might underestimate her talent because of her small-screen background. This sparked the interest of the host who asked her if she had ever met a producer or director who had a similar reaction, to which she revealed her that her meeting with the team of ‘Manikarnika‘ was somewhat similar. She described their meeting as stupid and a waste of time as she was told by one of the crew members, ‘you look so hot. She gave a one-worded reaction to their statement, ‘seriously?’ and never returned to the meeting.

The movie was initially being shot by Krish Jagarlmudi and was then taken over by Kangana Ranaut after the project was ‘abandoned’. However, Jagarlmudi denied the claims and accused Ranaut of ‘hijacking’ the film. The film also starred Atul Kulkarni, Ankita Lokhande and Jissu Sengupta in Pivotal roles.
