Actress, model, and politician Isha Koppikar recently sat down with Etimes for an interview after turning the big 45 on the 19th of September. Over the course of the conversation, she revealed how her birthday celebration this year involved her family and friends along with a lot of chocolates and cakes while keeping in mind all the covid protocols. When asked what inspired her to go into acting she talked about her college days where she spent most of her time participating in extracurricular activities and how she loved acting which then led to her making a career out of it.
She also talked about how her success is different from the success of ‘star kids‘ and truly believes that due to the release of movies on OTT platforms the fame and success of star kids are on the down-low. She added how real talent is finally getting recognised and also wishes to do some sort of quality work with the same. She also talked about her daughter Rianna and described her as one of the nicest kids she’s known and considers her more of her friend than her daughter. When asked about how she is one of the people who changed the trend of actresses not having a career after marriage she replied with how she was not the only one to do this and then went on to talk about Anushka Sharma and Shilpa Shetty.
The actress said, ‘Actresses like Shilpa Shetty and Anushka Sharma have changed things so much for every woman out there. I feel that eventually, we had to come out of the bubble that life will be over for women after marriage. All we are up to is doing things that really excite us and if in the process, we are inspiring others then that is great.‘.
