Kangana Ranaut has been promoting her upcoming movie “Thalaivii” all across the country. Recently she had been in a press conference in Delhi where she had to face a lot of questions regarding the movie.
The movie is based on the actress turned politician Jayalalitha. This biopic is finally set to be released after a shooting of a year and a half. However, recently there have been some problems among the theatres and producers. The theatres have asked for a four-week window after being released in the South whereas the producers want two weeks. Kangana thus has been asking her fans to support the movie as much as possible so that it would help the producers get out of this stick situation.
In the recent interview, she had been asked if she would ever join politics. To this, she replied “Main desh ke liye hamesha bolti hoon toh logo ko aksar lagta hai main politics ke liye bolti hoon. Shayad ek hi baat hai, lekin mere liye ek nahi hai, kyunki main koi politician nahi hoon. I speak as a responsible citizen. As someone who has reached wherever I am because of people’s support, I speak in favour of people and country. Whether I want to be in politics or not will not be my decision. Without people’s support, you cannot even win a panchayat election. Right now, I feel I am good as an actor and I am very happy. But if tomorrow people would want to see me as a politician and if I would be elected by the people, then I would definitely love it.”
It would be interesting to see Kangana as a real-life politician.
