IPL 2020- Jason Holder replaces Mitchell Marsh in SRH after his injury

As the IPL season finally kicks off, the buzz, excitement and anticipation skyrockets with every passing match. With this IPL season starting off in September this time because of COVID 19, the much-awaited season has already broken the record as the most-watched game!

Amidst this all, well, players do get injured. With the opening match of SunRisers Hyderabad against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday, the Australian Player Mitchell Marsh suffered from an injury.

Mitchell Marsh, the all-rounder player was bowling in his first over; but, during his second ball when he was faced by RCB’s Aaron Finch, the player twisted his ankle.

The injury was grave enough for him to leave the field. Vijay Shankar was the one who completed the over. Sources say that the injury on Marsh doesn’t look great.

The franchise announced that his place will be taken by the West Indies Team captain, Jason Holder.

Jason Holder has been a part of three IPL teams till date, including Sun Riser’s Hyderabad. This was his 11th IPL match.

Mitchell Marsh has been ruled out due to injury. We wish him a speedy recovery. Jason Holder will replace him for #Dream11IPL 2020,” Sunrisers posted on its official Twitter handle.

This setback cost SRH the match as RCB won with a score of 163/5; with SRH a score of 153 runs.

In spite of this replacement, we know they will perform well and wish the teams All the Best!
