Thalaivi: Kangana Ranaut pays tribute to the leader on her death anniversary by…

On the 4th Death Anniversary of Tamilian actress turned political leader J Jayalalithaa, Kangana Ranaut who is playing her part in her biopic named “Thalaivi” paid homage to her.

The legendary Jayalalithaa served as the chief minister of Tamil Nadu for six terms and was lovingly called “amma” by her admirers and all alike. Kangana made a rather emotional tweet about both the larger-than-life leader and her upcoming biopic, which was stalled for some time due to the pandemic. Pushed into the movie industry in order to support her family, she quickly made a name for herself through her versatile acting skills and her elegant dance forms as well.

In 1982 she joined the AIADMK party, which she would later lead in the future when Maruthur Gopalan Ramachandran was the chief minister. Though her rise to power and her means was criticized by the opposition and parts of the media, in 1987 she proclaimed herself to be the leader of the part she joined just a few years earlier and then went onto become the youngest prime minister of Tamil Nadu in 1991.

Last year too Kangana had paid tribute to Jaya Ma, in a picture shared by Taran Adarsh, she was seen with folded hands in front of a picture of Amma, adored with Garlands.
