Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut keeps making headlines on social media either for her amazing performances in films or her views on farmer protest or nepotism. After completing the shoot of Thalaivi, Kangana has shared the first look of another film with a political background. The actress will play the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in an upcoming political drama.
“Yes, we are working on the project and the script is in the final stages. It is not the biopic of Indira Gandhi, it is a grand period film, to be precise a political drama that will help my generation to understand (the) socio-political landscape of current India,” said Kangana, in a statement released by her office.
Sharing the first look from movie Kangana tweeted, “Happy to announce my dear friend Sai Kabir and I are collaborating on a political drama. Produced by Manikarnika Films. Written and Directed by Sai Kabir.” She added, “This is a photoshoot about iconic women I did at the beginning of my career, little did I know one day I will get to play the iconic leader on screen.“

Kangana added that “the film is based on a book.”
The actress will produce the film that will feature Emergency and Operation Blue Star. The actor has also shared a throwback picture from one of her old photoshoots, for which she had dressed up as the former PM.
