Maharashtra students flood Twitter and social media with memes as Govt cancels exams for final year students

The Indian government, though, working tirelessly to fight against coronavirus, cases in the country are still rising rapidly. While some areas have been declared as orange and green zones, there are still several areas that are in red zones.

One of such worst-affected state is Maharashtra where coronavirus cases have been jumped significantly. After viewing the current situation of the state, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday announced to cancel final year exam of all institutions and universities in the state and said to promote students on the basis of their aggregate marks in previous semesters.

After the news came out, social media have been inundated with jokes and memes. Students took a sigh of relief and were looking overjoyed. The effect of the news was so immense that #examscancelled was the twitter’s top trending hashtag on Sunday morning.
