Mom to be Anushka Sharma knows, how to stay fit even in this phase of her mom to be a journey. She shared an Insta story where she could be seen running on a treadmill with a smiling face as she hits the gym. A few days back, she shared a very graceful picture in which she is seen attempting the ‘king of asanas’ Srisasana or headstand.
Her husband cricketer Virat Kohli was helping her attain this asana. She penned, ”This exercise is ‘hands-down’ the most difficult one.”Anushka is for sure giving all of us a major goal to stay fit even if she is pregnant and in this pandemic to stay fit is the most important one could do to gain immunity. “As yoga is a big part of my life, my doctor recommended that I can do all such asanas that I was doing before I was pregnant barring twists and extreme forward bends, but of course with the appropriate and required support,” she added.
She’s fit, fine and happy we could see that from her glowing face. “For the Sirsasana, which I have been doing for many years, I ensured that I used the wall for support and also my very able husband supporting my balance to be extra safe. This was also done under the supervision of my yoga teacher Eefa Shroff who was virtual with me through this session. I’m so glad I could continue my practice through my pregnancy,” she wrote. Sirsasana is known to be a calming exercise for the body and mind. However, advanced practitioners are advised to take it up later in the pregnancy rather than just after getting pregnant to avoid any complications.
