Netflix original BETAAL Trailer has been out now for a while and the fan response is beyond imagination. The Indian film industry can do many things but it has a loose hand in the horror genre, although this time we have been proved wrong. Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chilly Productions has come up with Betaal; the first trailer of the series actually feels like a breath of fresh air. The plot revolves around a remote village which becomes a theatre of battle when two-century-old Betaal, a British Army Officer and his battalion of zombie redcoats are unleashed. The Indian police are trying to protect the villagers from the undead army and horrific conflict. The cast includes Vineet Kumar, Suchitra Pillai, Aahana Kumra, Jitendra Joshi, Syna Anand and Manjiri Pupala. Directed by Patrick Graham, he also directed ‘Ghoul’ starring Radhika Apte. It is co-produced by Jason Blum’s Blumhouse Productions, the company behind movies like Paranormal Activity, The Purge, Get Out, Insidious, among others.
The trailer shows the dark side of the film and gives Goosebumps; the scenes shown keep the viewers to the edge of their seat. Fans are really excited about the horror show that looks promising and is actually scary. One of the twitter users wrote, “Zombies🔥, Horror, Thrill #Betaal has got us all excited! This looks like an ultimate series with top-notch production values & performances”. Other said, “Not one to get spooked easily but #Betaal had me on the edge of my seat… stay tuned for the scares! 👻” another Twitter user said, “#Betaal trailer is brilliantly done. It took care of everything to make it gruesome and an enthralling zombie experience. ‘Betaal’ on #Netflix is some serious dark work!” The fan response shows that they are quite happy with the trailer and are looking forward to the release. During the lockdown season, everybody is hunting for some good stuff to binge which is amusing as well as thrilling and Betaal qualifies to the most for that. Moreover, the series is produced by Shah Rukh Khan so it will be good, that man can be trusted with anything.

Betaal will be released on May 24. Netflix has released many Indian original series so far, Jamtara, Taj Mahal 1989, She and then Hasmukh. Among them, Mrs Serial Killer is the most recent one.
