Prime Minister Narendra Modi shuts Sina Weibo account after ban on Chinese Apps

Sina Weibo, China gave an answer for the Twitter about the shuts of PM Modi’s Sina Weibo account. They said like they deleted Prime Minister Narendra Modi Sina Weibo account at the request of the Indian embassy. A problem is going on between the two countries.

Due to a border problem between the two countries continue to simmer the Indian Government decided to ban the Chinese Apps in India. They banned 59 Chinese Apps in India.

Likewise, PM Modi also shut his Weibo account after the Chinese Apps banned. PM Modi has been an infrequent user of the Chinese social media platforms. He had more than 200,000 followers and 100 posts before the account were shut.

India banned dozens of Chinese famous apps including Sina Weibo, Tiktok, UC browser, Helo app, etc., Sina Weibo announced the closure of the account on Wednesday.

Modi was among a handful of foreign leaders including Boris Johnson, Justin Trudeau, etc., with a Weibo account. PM Modi is one of the leader who more active on social media platforms. He revealed the birth dates of both Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang by wishing then ‘Happy birthday’ on Weibo account. The exact dates of most of them are not revealed publicly. The discussion of the senior leader’s private lives is extremely rare in China. Chinese leaders are not very active on social media platforms. Earlier China banned some foreign apps like Facebook, Twitter, etc.,
