Kapil Sharma, India’s best stand-up comedian who also hosts ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ is in controversy. Kapil Sharma recently refused to promote director Vivek Agnihotri’s film ‘The Kashmir Files’ which was quite a disappointment for all the Kapil Sharma fans.
A series of tweets have also been trending on Twitter #boycottkapilsharma. One of his fans also asked him the reason for not inviting ‘The Kashmir Files‘ team on the show and why was he so scared, to which Kapil Sharma replied to not believe in a one-sided story in today’s social media world.
To Kapil Sharma’s defence, film star Anupam Kher had made clear that the real reason Kapil Sharma refused to promote the film was that it was indeed a serious movie based on the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus in 1990 and he was reluctant to promote it on a comedian platform.
Kapil also replied to Anupam Kher in one of his tweets:
“Thank you paji @AnupamPKher for clarifying all the false allegations against me. And thanks to all those friends who
loved me even after now knowing the truth. Stay happy, stay smiling,” his tweet was followed by the hashtag #isupportmyself.
