RML Medical College Dean tests positive for COVID-19

The Dean of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Science at the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital has tested positive of COVID-19. Dr Rajeev Sood who was looking after the management of COVID-19 manpower tested positive on Saturday. He is now under home isolation; he doesn’t know how he got infected. The contact tracing has been initiated by the hospital authority.

“I have a fever and mild upper respiratory infection and got myself tested for COVID-19…it came out positive. I am under home isolation now,” said Dr Sood, he also the head of the urology department. According to the sources, the doctor is in his 60s and is a high-risk patient. He is a known case of Coronary Artery disease with an ejection fraction of 30 per cent.

The RML Hospital is a network point where all the coronavirus cases are managed in Delhi and Dr. Sood is one of the frontline corona warrior, he is incharge of COVID-19 facilities and manpower.
