Shahrukh Khan’s Meer Foundation’s office gets converted into a quarantine centre

The Bollywood superstar Shahrukh khan’s NGO based in Mumbai- Meer Foundation has given up its office to be set up as a quarantine centre amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation.

Gauri Khan recently took to Instagram to share how their office now looks as a quarantine centre.
At the initial stage of the novel coronavirus outbreak in India, Shah Rukh and Gauri had
promised to offer their four-storied personal office space of the Meer Foundation to
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), to be utilised as a quarantine facility.
Now, Gauri Khan shared a video in which it can be clearly seen how the office space has been transformed into quarantine cells. The quarters, with essential facilities, is equipped with 22 beds as of now and will be used to combat the COVID-19 pandemic in the coming weeks. The video shows that the beds have been kept at a safe distance from each other.

Under the video, she wrote, “#GauriKhanDesign‘s refurbished this office …a quarantine zone providing essentials and services to those in need. We must stand together and stand strong in this fight against #Covid19. @meerfoundationofficial @iamsrk Repost @meerfoundationofficial.

Making space for each other. #MeerFoundation has effectively transformed the 4-storey private office building, offered by @gaurikhan and @iamsrk, into quarantine quarters under @my_bmc’s guidance. In this fight, we stand together stronger than ever before.”
Apart from this, Shahrukh Khan and Gauri Khan have made various contributions to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, including donations to the PM cares fund. Shahrukh Khan had also recently appeared in a live concert organized by Global Citizen and Lady Gaga with help from WHO which raised around 127 million dollars.
