On June 6, which is celebrated as “Cancer Survivor’s Day”, Actress Sonali Bendre took it to her social media handle and posted a picture of herself from the present and from the time when she was battling with the disease.
The day is dedicated to those who have defeated cancer and to inspire and motivate those who are giving it a tough fight! Back in 2018, the actress was diagnosed with Cancer and then she moved to New York for her treatment. Soon, with her strong will, sheer determination, and the support of her loved ones, Sonali emerged as a warrior by winning the battle against cancer.
Sonali posted a collage of pictures from now and then with the caption, “How time flies… today when I look back, I see strength, I see weakness but most importantly I see the will to not let the C-word define how my life will be after it… You create the life you choose. The journey is what you make of it… so remember to take #OneDayAtATime and to #SwitchOnTheSunshine #CancerSurvivorsDay”
About 3 years ago, when the actress announced her diagnosis on social media and wrote, “Sometimes, when you least expect it, life throws you a curveball. I have recently been diagnosed with high-grade cancer that has metastasised, which we frankly did not see coming. A niggling pain led to some tests, which led to this unexpected diagnosis. My family and close friends have rallied around me, providing the best support system that anyone can ask for,“, her fans started flooding the comment sections with lots of love and prayers for the speedy recovery of Sonali.
