Zee TV will re-air its popular horror show, ‘ZEE HORROR SHOW’ amid the nationwide lockdown

Since the shooting of new shows has been put on indefinite hold, a lot of popular old shows are being telecast again on TV. Ramsay Brothers’ popular horror show, ZEE HORROR SHOW, which was first released in 1993 is all set to return to our TV Screens on Zee TV. The decision to re-air the show has been taken due to the ongoing nationwide lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Produced by Tulsi and Shyam Ramsay, the show will return on Zee TV from 27 April. It will air Monday-Friday at 11:30 pm. Earlier the show ran for a duration of 9 years.
Zee TV is additionally bringing back Akbar Birbal, which can air Monday-Saturday at 1 pm.

“During periods of stress across the planet, Zee TV aims at providing its viewers with content that helps them escape the strain and monotony, transporting them back to happier times. So, to enhance their family TV-viewing experience, we are bringing back shows that they need all grown up loving over the years. In fact, over the past few years, we’ve received umpteen requests to bring back certain shows that viewers had particularly enjoyed.

“Zee Horror Show is one such show that folks have eagerly looked forward to seeing again.
Akbar Birbal, with its witty, light-hearted narrative and life lessons, also will provide an excellent start to your day. These shows are a neighbourhood of our constant endeavour to supply the audience with a wide variety of content to settle on from and luxuriate in during this extended period of nationwide lockdown,” Zee TV Business Head Aparna Bhosle said during a statement.

Meanwhile, Sony Television had also announced re-runs of their popular horror Aahat among others. Previously, Zee TV had also decided to telecast Hum Paanch, one of its most popular shows from the ’90s.

Several popular shows from the 90s, including the Ramayan, Mahabharat, Chanakya,
Shaktimaan, Shriman Shrimati and Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Circus, are being telecast again on television these days bringing back a sense of nostalgia of childhood. People from all age groups sit down in front of the TV to watch their favourite shows, now their kids’ favourites too.
