Laal Singh Chaddha was supposed to be one of the most ambitious projects of 2020 if not for the COVID virus. Actor Aamir Khan who is well known for his perfectionism and performance is slated to play the leading role in this movie, which is the official adaptation of Tom Hanks Oscar-Winning film Forrest Gump.
Now Vijay Sethupathi who was previously roped in to play the part of Aamir’s character’s Best friend, Benjamin Buford “Bubba” Blue played by actor Mykelti Williamson is no longer a part of the project. Though fans were really excited to see the actors share the screen, unfortunately for the southern actor, Aamir Khan was not pleased with Vijay’s commitment towards his goal of losing some extra weight in order to play the part.
So now he has been replaced with actor Manav Vij to play the coveted part. It did come as sad news to the fans who were looking forward to seeing them together. The movie too is pushed back till December of 2021 while it was originally supposed to release in December of 2020.
