Laal Singh Chaddha is an official adaptation of the multiple Oscar-winning Hollywood classic Forrest Gump which starred Tom Hanks and it is based on Winston Groom’s 1986 novel of the same name. It has been recently released in theatres and it has received mixed reactions from the audience.
Laal Singh Chaddha was directed by Advait Chandan. The film portrays Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in lead roles and Naga Chaitanya plays a pivotal role. The movie revolves around a mentally challenged but optimistic boy who leads a normal life like others. He is an athlete in his college and wants to join the Indian army. His whole journey including his dreams in life to his being in love with his childhood friend has been documented in the film.
It is one of the costliest movies of this year and it was made on a budget of Rs 180 crore. Aamir Khan played the lead role of Laal Singh Chaddha and has charged a hefty sum of money equal to Rs 50 crore for the role he played in the film.
