“Decision on T20 World Cup should be made as soon as possible, any further delay will be an impediment for the operations of each and every board”, said Arun Dhumal, BCCI treasurer. This is to also to be noted that the decision on T20 World Cup taken by the members of the board will also affect the future of Indian Premier League (IPL). The reason is that if T20 World Cup has been postponed further, then IPL 2020 will gets nod to start as it requires minimum 40 days window to BCCI to kick-off tournament. Apart from IPL 2020, the future of many other bilateral series also relies on ICC decision.

“This actually is the D Day for world cricket. Our board’s future will be dependent on this meeting. At this stage our FTP is impacted badly, we don’t have an idea about if we will receive the ICC revenue shares in September or not, when and how T20 world cup will happen, all of this has to be decided in this meeting. Hopefully, no further delays happen in the decision making”, said one of the key member board official of ICC.
