Right now the whole country is fighting a war against the coronavirus, in which policemen are seen as front line fighters. Amidst the ever-increasing coronavirus, the police have to face tremendous pressure due to the gathering of people in Bandra and sometimes due to incidents like Palghar.

At this time, if we talk about Mumbai, then every 2 to 2.5 km, police barricading has been imposed, on which police personnel are deployed for 24 hours.
786 personnel from the Maharashtra Police have tested positive for COVID-19 thus far , according to the department on Sunday.

According to a release issued by the Maharashtra Police, the total COVID-19 cases include 88 officers and 698 other personnel. Out of those , 13 officers and 63 other ranks have recovered from the infection so far. The active number of COVID-19 cases amongst Maharashtra Police stood at 703, with seven deaths due to the infection so far.

Instagram to the Maharashtra Police. Other Actors like Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon, Jhanvi
Kapoor, Hina Khan, Kriti Sanon, Katrina Kaif etc also put up stories thanking Maharashtra
Police and changed their profile pictures.

Recently, India skipper Virat Kohli on Sunday changed his Twitter display picture with
Maharashtra Police logo to pay his respect to the corona frontline workers. Taking to Twitter, Kohli wrote: “Maharashtra Police has stood by citizens through calamities, attacks & disasters.

Today as they lead the war against Corona on the streets, I’ve decided to celebrate them by changing my DP here on Twitter to the Maharashtra Police logo. Join me in this endeavour.”
On Saturday, Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma donated Rs 5 lakh each for the Mumbai police welfare amid the coronavirus outbreak.

In addition to being active in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic on the frontline. Mumbai Police has also been quite active on social media, posting their takes on the world matters in a hilarious and relatable way.
