The actor was fighting depression and was found hanging in his Bandra apartment on June 14. So far, the Mumbai Police have recorded statements of more than 36 people, including his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, film director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and Bollywood casting director Mukesh Chhabra, among others.

His girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty had tweeted earlier this month requesting Amit Shah to begin a Central bureau of investigation (CBI) probe into the actor’s sudden death. Respected @AmitShah sir, I’m Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, it is now over a month since his sudden demise. I have complete faith in the government, however, in the interest of justice, I request you with folded hands to initiate a CBI enquiry..” “I request you with folded hands to initiate a CBI enquiry into this matter. I only want to
understand what pressures prompted Sushant to take this step. Yours sincerely #satyamevjayate @AmitShah, sir,” wrote Rhea.

A lot of speculations have surfaced which suggest that due to the cancellation of several of his projects, Sushant Singh went into depression. Police reports also suggested that the actor had stopped taking his medications.

The Mumbai Police have recorded statements of three psychiatrists and a psychotherapist as part of their investigation into the suicide case of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The doctors have also reportedly told the cops that the actor was not taking his medicines prescribed to him. One of the reasons behind this might be because of his manager’s suicide. Disha Sailan was Sushant Singh’s manager who had also committed suicide.
