Actor Priyanka Chopra’s uncle was robbed on knifepoint in Delhi, his daughter Meera Chopra tweeted,“@DelhiPolice my dad was taking a walk in #policecolony. Two guys came during a scooter, showed a knife and snatched his phone. This is how safe you claim Delhi to be. @ArvindKejriwal @CPDelhi,” she further shared the FIR number and said that the incident happened at Prince Road Model Town.
Sudhesh Chopra, 75 was walking in front of his house when two people came on a scooter and took his phone and around six thousand rupees on knifepoint on Tuesday evening. Meera justified the reason behind she tweeted it because loot is very common in Delhi and police don’t take it seriously. She tweeted this to bring it to the concern of police as the elderly people are targeted easily as they cannot fight back. She further stated that somebody has to raise their voice about these kinds of crimes. These people become murderers later on.
She later thanked Delhi Police for taking quick action, she wrote, “Thanks @DcpNorthDelhi for such quick action. Makes me proud once we feel protected by our local department. It’s never about what has been snatched but protecting our elders is most important! Respect @DelhiPolice,”
Meera Chopra made her debut in Bollywood in 2014 with the movie Gangs of Ghosts and was later seen in movies like 1920 London and Section 375.
