Rishi Kapoor’s ashes immersed in Banganga, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Ayan Mukherji performed pooja

Bollywood’s veteran actor Rishi Kapoor left everyone on 30th April leaving everybody shocked and sad. The last rites of the actor were performed by his wife Neetu Singh along with son Ranbir Kapoor and daughter Riddhima Sahani, actress Alia Bhatt and filmmaker Ayan Mukherji were also present. Dressed in all white Ranbir, Ayan and Alia were seen at Banganga, Mumbai where they performed a small pooja and immersed Rishi Kapoor’s ashes.

Speaking of the pooja, late actor’s elder brother Randhir Kapoor said, “Rasam pagri pooja was held yesterday. His ashes were immersed today in Banganga, Mumbai, followed by a quiet prayer service with family at his home because of the virus.” Wife Neetu Singh, Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Sahani were also present in the prayer meeting. Riddhima couldn’t attend the funeral of her father but, she reached Mumbai on Saturday evening by taking special permission to travel from Delhi by road.

Photos of Ranbir, Neetu and Riddhima with folded hands were captured at the Banganga tank. Alia Bhatt and Ayan Mukherji were also seen joining the Kapoors for pooja. Banganga Tank is an old water tank, which is inside the Walkeshwar Temple Complex in Mumbai’s Malabar Hill. Earlier on Saturday, a photo of Neetu Singh and Ranbir went viral on social media where they are seen paying last respect to the late actor.

We lost Rishi Kapoor on the morning of 30th April. He died at the age of 67 after battling Leukaemia for two years. He was cremated on the same day in the presence of family and close friends.
