Sonu Sood helps 500 workers to go back home from Mumbai to UP

The times are tough for one and all but tougher for the workers and the labours in the country. Recently 16 migrant workers who were travelling by the tracks were run over by the train in Aurangabad, hit the news. We came across the news of the people escaping the cities for their hometown on their feet with very few public transports running on the roads and the sealed borders. The migrant workers are the worst hit as their income was dependent on their day to day sales. With the prevalent lockdown, not just their income but also their places to stay and their daily needs have come to the dropdown.

Many people came forward to help them and our loved Bollywood is also not far behind. Earlier this week, Sonu Sood had arranged some 10 buses to help 350 migrant workers to go to their homes to Karnataka from Mumbai. A man with a golden heart has again come out to help the workers to go to their native states. This time he arranged the help for 500 migrant workers to go back to their home from Mumbai to UP. He arranges the buses and seeks permissions from the state governments of Mumbai, Karnataka and UP.

Sonu had also offered his Juhu hotel, Mumbai for a stay of frontline healthcare workers like doctors, nurses, paramedical staff. He is also involved in various charities to help people come out of this time. He also came forward for feeding 25,000 workers in Bhiwandi area during Ramzan. Not only this he is also looking forward to helping 3000 more workers. The 46-year-old actor is truly symbolising what an efficient man is capable of doing and how humanity looks like. He stands by the practising more than just preaching and discussing on the social media.

He was not alone in this homecoming mission. He had expressed his gratitude to Satya Narain Sabat, ADG, Lucknow Zone for granting him the required permissions and his friend Neeti Goel for providing food, rations, medicines and PPE kits to the people. Hats-off to the people who keep others above themselves in the distress time like this.

Fans have loved this gesture of him. They supported him immensely. We loved how he considered the needy and extended a helping hand to them. Industry too came out in support of him. Farah Khan praised his act on social media. People from the industry are putting their best help forwards. The common people like us too can help in the initiative by contributing to the PM Care Fund.

The rough times bring the best in us. Many of us are setting examples by supporting each other by providing them help to reach their respective homes or providing food, shelter and medicines. Sonu has proved that he is the man with a golden heart. People like him shows that Bollywood is indeed full of heroes and not just actors.
