TV Actress Mohena Kumari Singh and her family tests positive for Covid-19

TV serial “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” fame actress Mohena Kumari Singh tested corona positive with five of her family members, including her husband, father-in-law and mother-in-law. They were hospitalized in Rishikesh on May 31.

Mohena vouchsafed that it all began with her mother-in-law getting a fever. “At first, her test came negative, so everyone was relaxed, which is why we didn’t do anything after that. Then we saw that the fever was not subsiding. All of us got tested and realised a lot of people in our house were affected without any symptoms as such. I mean, it’s all out there in the world anyway, so many people suffering so much, without coronavirus. That’s about it,” she told.

“Yes, the news is true, seven from our family have been tested positive for COVID-19, but we are doing fine now. Right now we are in the hospital. My brother-in-law’s latest report has come negative so he’s fine now. There are people too who have been infected but they are from the Sanstha. We had very mild symptoms and we thought it must be because of the change in weather. But nobody has any kind of major symptom. Coronavirus is such that it spreads like a wildfire. First, my mother-in-law got it but her symptoms were so mild that we couldn’t figure it out. It is our second day in the hospital, everyone is showing improvement and we will be fine soon. We are in quarantine now and getting our treatment done,” shared the actress.

She stated that the symptoms for everyone have been mild. Further, she said, “Except my brother-in-law, we all are infected. Rest of the numbers (no specific number of people disclosed) are all people who live in our house, they are part of a Sanstha.”

“Again, nobody has any symptoms that are very big, everybody is fine. If only we had everybody falling sick, then we could have understood. The weather is also changing here in Dehradun, sometimes it’s hot, sometimes rainy, cold. Nobody could understand,” she added.

The 31-year-old actress said that they are not in a position to grieve as there are more important issues to be looked into like the problems of migrants. “We all are doing good and safe. I feel we are fortunate enough to have the facilities. There are poor people, especially migrants who are suffering. There are so many who have been tested positive and don’t get proper treatment or beds in hospitals. I also feel lucky that my father-in-law has been doing so much to help the migrants through his Sanstha. We are trying to help them in the best possible way. We will humbly deal with this,” said Mohena.

As per reports, Mohena Kumari Singh, her husband Suresh Rawat, her mother-in-law, her father-in-law are amongst the family members who have contracted the fatal virus. The actress confirmed that they all have been placed under quarantine and will remain in the hospital till they test negative.
