Actress Kangana Ranaut, who has been awarded the National Film Award four times, has been honoured with the Padma Shri.
President Ram Nath Kovind honoured the actress with the Padma Shri Award. Kangana, who reached Delhi to receive this honour, was wearing a golden beige colour silk sari. His sister Rangoli Chandel was also present with him on this special day.
Expressing her happiness about the award, Kangana had said, “I am happy, and I am honoured. I thank my country for this honour and I dedicate it to every woman who dares to dream. These awards are being given for outstanding work in the year 2020.
At the same time, 119 people who have done outstanding work in the year 2021 will be honoured with Padma Awards on Tuesday. Padma Shri is awarded for distinguished service in any field. This is the fourth highest honour in the country. Kangana has been given this honour for her outstanding performance in the film field.
Recently, Kangana Ranaut was also honoured with the National Award. Kangana was given the Best Actress Award for the films ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ and ‘Panga’. At the same time, the first look of the film ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’, which is being produced under the banner of Kangana’s other side production house, has come out. Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur will be seen in lead roles in the film.
